Noticing the Small Things

Hello Everyone,

I hope to find you doing well today. I just returned from a spring break trip with my family to Florida.  It is a blessing to be able to enjoy that time together. Even though we are regular visitors to this same place in Florida, while we were there we saw a number of things we'd never seen—small sting rays jumping out of the water and tiny hidden shells lodged in the sand and very small crustaceans. It was interesting because these things came after my personal reflection time with God asking Him to help me see the things I may normally overlook.  The little things that is just as fascinating as the big.   The rest of the week was full of noticing little, amazing things. It really made me think about how much can be missed either in busy-ness or in focusing on the big things, and often missing the little, but very important things in life.

I think the articles we are sharing this month reinforce this as well. What is present in a relationship, or in the impact of something we do, that we may overlook because it is small, at least at first? We have to pay special attention to see it, and that requires focus and mental space to be present. Will you join me in this challenge this month? Let's spend some time looking for the overlooked things and make the decision to be attentive to seeing them. I hope you have a blessed month.

Warmly,

Jamie
